An Autumn westward view of Sam Neill's larger Earnscleugh Flats 57-acre property, near Clyde. Some 12.5 acres of it are planted in Pinot Noir, and 2.5 acres in Riesling. He acquired the property in about 2000 from the Ministry of Agriculture who had used it for food and crop horticultural trials. Neill re-named the property "Red Bank", on which he also grows his Lavendar and Saffron. At the top right of the frame can be seen a small part of the snow-covered famous Remarkables mountain range near Queenstown, close to where Neill has his New Zealand home.
